Client:

At Storable, we believe storage operators should have one partner they can trust to help you get the results they need for their business. That’s why we’ve built the industry’s first fully integrated platform that offers facility management software, facility websites, marketing programs and services, payments, and deeply integrated tenant insurance capabilities all in one solution.  We leverage our platform in combination with our over 25 years of storage industry expertise to help our thousands of storage customers achieve their tenant experience and operational efficiency objectives every single day.

Empowering storage facility owners and operators is why we come to work every day. It’s our job to make their job easier and more effective. More time back in their day, more revenue, more control, more access to leading technology. Whatever our clients need – we provide more. Storable helps run a storage business better than ever thought possible.

The Role:

Storable is looking for a Group Product Manager with a marketplace background to set an outcome-oriented product strategy and deliver value to our customers. You will work with colleagues across product, design, marketing, engineering, sales, and the senior executive leadership team to solve customer problems, achieve a set of specific and collectively understood business objectives, and guide the overall direction of your products.

You will be the primary owner of the P&L for your business unit (marketplace, websites, and digital marketing services), partnering closely with our finance organization to model the cost and revenue potential of your products. You will manage a team of product managers and product owners, who will formulate and execute plans that align with your broader strategy. You will also work closely with other senior leaders to drive accountability for performance throughout the organization.

Your success will be measured by how well you communicate vision, set expectations, build compelling cases for your strategy, guide the overall direction of our consumer products, and produce financial growth for the business.

    • Work with finance to model cost and revenue implications of your product strategy
    • Develop and monitor leading performance metrics that support the planned financial model
    • Partner with leaders in other functional areas (product marketing, sales, support) to align strategies to achieve P&L targets
  • Identify opportunities to address customer problems and drive incremental business value across our Consumer products
    • Drive towards a long-term vision of creating seamless integrations with other Storable products (facility management software, business intelligence, payments, insurance, etc.) that “disappear” into the software
    • Automate and streamline operational processes for our customers
    • Identify product drivers of customer support volume and develop a plan to reduce ongoing support burden
    • Identify and capture opportunities to increase customer usage of key product features
    • Automate and streamline internal Storable processes involved in boarding, supporting, and maintaining customers of our consumer products
    • Create and execute a roadmap to deliver all of the above consistently and scalably across multiple software platforms
  • Collaborate with leaders across Storable to achieve a vision for how technology, people, and process combines at different tiers of service for your products to deliver the right product-market fit
  • Spend considerable time talking to customers to understand how they think and behave, and use that insight to validate the right direction for the product
  • Clearly articulate the problems that need to be solved for your customers as well as Storable, and quantify the value to be created once those problems are solved
  • Communicate company-wide why you are making certain improvements, what you hope to learn from them, and how they fit into your overall strategy
  • Provide regular updates on projected milestones, progress, and results
  • Define and deliver the OKRs for each strategic bet you intend to make
  • Oversee the changes being refined and implemented by a collection of Consumer Product Managers to ensure coherent vision and prioritization for the overall product
  • Objectively measure and broadly communicate the impact of the strategic bets and delivered work for the entire product
  • Lead and mentor a small group of Consumer-focused Product Managers

What you need to bring to the table:

  • 10+ years product management experience, centered around marketplace and consumer products
  • A history of employing a data-driven approach to customer needs and corresponding feature development
  • Experience integrating acquired teams with disparate cultures and processes into a cohesive and productive unit
  • Strategic thinking. Can logically deconstruct market conditions, the competitive landscape, and industry trends to help frame which customer problems we need to solve now, next, and later
  • Analytical thinking. Understand the unit economics of your product and make recommendations on how to invest time and resources to grow the product’s bottom line
  • Leadership skills. Building, growing, and supporting a team of Product Managers is a passion of yours
  • Resourcefulness in solving problems
  • Comfort with both the art (user empathy, design) and science (analytics, statistics, structured hypotheses) of product management
  • Experience working in a nimble product delivery organization where product, design, and engineering work in close collaboration
  • Familiarity working with Agile Scrum methodologies
  • Ability to navigate hard conversations and produce desired outcomes for all participants
  • Manages projects independently
