Position:  Marketing Director

Location: Colorado

Compensation:  Base Salary + Bonus + Equity (subject to board review & approval)

SSB, a leading data management and analytics platform provider to the sports & entertainment, and education sectors, is seeking a Director of Marketing to join our team.  Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Marketing will be a key member of the team and must be dynamic and creative, with a proven track record of delivering and executing unique programs to drive awareness and generate pipeline. The right candidate will be a team player with excellent cross-functional project leadership skills, a deep understanding of the demand generation process, an excellent communicator and relationship-builder, marketing team management and mentoring skills, and an outstanding track record of results.

The Role

Oversee Marketing for SSB:

Own and manage the demand generation strategy for the company

  • Build and execute high quality demand generation programs through a variety of channels including events, email, SEO, PPC, website, social media, webinar, paid digital, and traditional tactics
  • Negotiate with vendors and manage the demand generation budget

Act as a collaborative partner with the sales team

  • Turn SSB value propositions into effective sales enablement materials including: pitch decks, case studies, sales sheets, videos and more
  • Develop feedback loop and on-going partnership with sales team

Marketing Analytics & Insights

  • Track, measure, analyze and improve ROI by campaign to drive investment decisions and marketing effectiveness

Go To Market Strategy & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Product & Sales Leadership on GTM strategy for key verticals and products

Be the voice of SSB (Thought Leadership, Content & Customer Experience)

  • Maintain ownership for the social media channels
  • Understand our customers (personas & audiences), how they buy and their buying criteria; seek competitive intelligence and understand what it means for SSB and how to message against it
  • Collaborate with SSB customers to create compelling case studies
  • Monitor industry trends and topics
  • Content development ownership including drafting and editing all collateral
  • Oversee the company’s presence at relevant industry events including speaking and sponsorship opportunities

Education/Experience:

  • 10+ years of B2B demand creation programs targeting the enterprise market
  • 8+ years of experience with marketing programs such as webinars, emails, PPC, content syndication, and PPL
  • Strong background of generating pipeline with Sales vs just leads
  • Ability to lead and communicate effectiveness of marketing campaigns to senior executives and provide recommendations for pipeline growth
  • Excellent writing and time management skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Flexibly, driven and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • 2+ years management experience, leading either individuals or teams
  • Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills are essential
  • Deep expertise and experience with email acquisition and nurture programs
  • CRM experience required
  • BA/BS degree
